Growing their managed portfolio has been a priority for OTO Development. Jason Boehm, VP of Business Development, commented, “In new management opportunities, we look for properties where we can make a big difference. We’re up to the challenges the Aloft BWI is facing, and we’re well-equipped to make immediate changes. With previous Starwood experience and current market knowledge with several Baltimore-area properties, this hotel is one in particular we’re ready to turn around.”
“Overall, we see a lot of potential in this hotel, particularly with our management expertise, engaged owners and exciting renovation plans in the works,” Boehm continued.
David Ward, OTO’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized plans for immediate turn-around, stating, “Speaking strategically, our immediate focus will be an overall reimplementation of standard operating procedures in all areas of daily operations. Housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest experience are our top priorities; we’ll bring this hotel to meet – and ultimately exceed – Starwood’s expectations for the Aloft brand.”
Situated five minutes from baggage claim at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, the Aloft BWI serves leisure and corporate travelers alike. Top local attractions are easily within reach, attracting both corporate events and families. The BWI business district is also home to top technology companies like Northrop Grumman and Computer Sciences Corporation. Orioles Park at Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium, and more entertainment venues round out the surrounding area.
OTO Development continues to ramp their managed portfolio, and is actively seeking new management opportunities. For more information, contact Jason Boehm, Vice President of Business Development, jboehm@otodevelopment.com.
